Learn to Curl

Learn to Curl League

Are you new to curling? New to Nanaimo? Or are you looking to grow your skill further within a game setting? Whatever your level come out and learn to curl with experienced team members in our NEW dedicated Learn to Curl League. The league will pair you and another participant up with experienced Skips and Thirds to help you through each game while assisting with basic skills, as well as, etiquette, sweeping and line of delivery calling, rules, and general camaraderie. This is a great place to start for those new to the game and those looking to meet new people. Dress warmly and bring a clean pair of indoor running shoes. Each participant will recieve their own set of grippers to use and keep. All other necessary equipment will be provided for each game.

$170 per person for 10 weeks of curling. 

Session 1: Oct 19 - Dec 21 (registration open on Aug 24)

Session 2: Jan 11 - March 15 (registration opens in November)

Youth Curling Programs

Learn to Curl Clinic, 9 to 17 Years (No new Clinics planned at this time, Please see Juniors program. Contact League rep. for further info) 

Let us introduce you to the game of curling. Our instructors will introduce you the basics of game. 

Dress warm and in layers. Bring gloves and carry in a clean pair of runners. No Shorts.

All other equipment provided.

Club Info

The Nanaimo Curling Club has a fine tradition of community involvement since 1947. Today NCC offers regular league play in men’s, women’s, mixed, play for people of all ages – from 9 to 99. We also have leagues and programs that are tailored to youth (school program, juniors) and athletes with special challenges (wheelchair, Special Olympics and visually impaired).

The facilities of the club are also available to any group on a rental basis (subject to the availability of ice) with qualified instructors in attendance.
